January as fire-side cozy not block-start sprint

Just in case you’re not seeing the many (highly reassuring;)) writings about how our New Year timing is not really aligned with the rhythm of nature and the seasons, the month of January (and February, don’t mind if I do) is still about rest, restoration and reflection. If it doesn’t feel like the time to “go get ‘em!” that’s because it’s not.

January for rest and restoration. I’m leaning in.

Let’s let the ‘new year’ wash over us softly, not allowing ourselves to be swept up by and crash with a big (anxiety) wave of NEW YEAR NEW YOU. We can create a vision board whenever the f*&^ we’d like to. We can craft our goals over time and when it feels right they can be put on paper. We can nurture ideas instead of rush them.

That’s where I’m at. So… Happy January friends, however you celebrate ; )
